The Ice Sculpture Park on Pasta (Post) Island Is Open
10/02/2026

Starting Tuesday, February 10, the Ice Sculpture Park on Pasta (Post) Island is open to visitors. Residents will be able to view the sculptures for as long as weather conditions allow. Please note that part of the Pasta Island area around the open-air concert hall “Mītava” will temporarily remain accessible only with an entrance fee.

From February 10, the sculptures can be viewed daily from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Admission is five euros for adults, three euros for school pupils, students, seniors, and people with disabilities, while entry is free for children under seven years of age. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance.

As long as weather conditions permit, the photo sculptures on Jānis Čakste Boulevard will also be preserved and can be viewed free of charge.

This year, 20 sculptors from 12 countries — Argentina, Indonesia, Poland, Mongolia, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Spain, Finland, Germany, Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia — created ice sculptures on the theme “The Power of Illusion.” The artists invite visitors to step into a world of illusions, where the boundary between reality and appearance becomes fragile and ever-changing. The sculptors’ works explore the modern human relationship with technology, as well as illusions created by nature, light, and form, and the diversity of perceptions of beauty, happiness, and the inner world.
