To help families with children plan an exciting and diverse summer vacation, the Jelgava Regional Tourism Center (JRTC) has prepared a special summer travel guide for recreation in Jelgava and the Jelgava municipality. It compiles ideas and recommendations on what to see, experience, and discover with children of all ages.

This new summer offer was created with active, educational, and quality family leisure time in mind. The guide gathers information about sightseeing spots, nature sites, active recreation options, as well as family-friendly accommodations and dining locations.

The guide is divided into five thematic sections. The section “Discover and Explore!” features museums and exhibitions that are well-suited for families with children. “Spend Time with Animals” offers information about mini-zoos, horse breeding farms, and hobby farms open to visitors. Meanwhile, the section “Experience Nature” includes ideas for walks, cycling trips, boat tours, and boating opportunities. For younger visitors and fans of active recreation, the section “Play and Sports” will be useful, listing the largest children’s playgrounds in Jelgava, active recreation spots, and water activities.

In addition to that, the guide also includes a curated selection of family-friendly accommodations and dining locations to ensure that recreation in Jelgava and the Jelgava municipality is comfortable and pleasant throughout the entire visit.
