This year, Jelgava’s twin city Šiauliai (Lithuania) is celebrating its 790th anniversary, and on September 22, the city invites everyone to mark this special occasion actively – by running! Our neighbours from Lithuania are inviting Latvian runners, families, friends and sports enthusiasts to become part of the city’s biggest running celebration.

One month remains until Jelgava’s largest sporting event of the year—on August 22, the Jelgava Night Half-Marathon will take place, which will simultaneously serve as the Latvian Championship. More than 500 Jelgava residents will have the opportunity to participate free of charge.
