Starting on the 24th of May, the sand sculpture park on Pasta Island (Pasta sala) is open to visitors, showcasing the works of this year’s 20th International Sand Sculpture Festival. This summer, the park has transformed into a prehistoric world, where dinosaurs and other creatures of the Jurassic period come to life in the sand.

The park is open every day from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, except on June 23 and 24, when it will be closed to visitors.

The admission fee for adults is 3 EUR, while for school children, students, seniors, and persons with disabilities, it is 2 EUR. Admission is free for children under the age of 7. Tickets can be purchased on-site at Pasta Island, at the ticket office near the entrance, with both cash and bank card payments accepted.

Fifteen professional sculptors from 10 countries participated in this year’s competition – Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, the Netherlands, Spain, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Turkey, and the USA. In addition to the competition entries, visitors can also view the demo sculpture “Dinosaur Meeting,” created by Agnese Rudzīte-Kirilova from Latvia and Roger Ferralla from Spain, as well as the specially designed park entrance sculptures titled “Volcano,” created by sculptor Sanita Rāviņa.

The sand sculpture park on Pasta Island will remain open throughout the summer, weather permitting.
